Fred She said is sponsoring today’s challenge at The Perfect Sentiment.
The topic is Graduate. I thought of joining it. So here is the card.
The background in the green was created with a scor pal. All lines diagonal and horizontal are at 1/4 inch distance. I used Fred’s Flowers V6-Daisies with bracket borders and colored it with copics. BG45, G07 B99 and B97. I just love the frame, can you imagine so many uses for it. I added a QuicKutz graduate die in between. added silver brads and the edge was done with glitter glue. To get a thin edge take the bracket and put it on a scrap paper, edge the line with glitter glue pretending the line is thick on the outside and once half is done pull the paper towards you and then find another spot on the scrap paper and repeat, hope this makes sense, the thick line is left on the scrap paper and your frame will have the perfect edge. The sentiment is from MFT stamp. The sign is being carried by the beautiful birds, I love these birds, they come precolored and I used lots of faded jeans distress ink to have them match the card. The fun part is even though they are precolored, you are not limited to that, you can always add color and change them to suit your style. The ribbon is from my stash. Stars are brads from Michaels.
Here is the inside
I used another digi in here Apple for the Teacher. This time I paper pieced the books, added faded jeans distress ink. Stacked them one after the other and added a star die from MFT star stax. This time the blue paper was scored at 1/2 inches and brads completed the inside. Another sentiment from MFT stamp.
Go ahead join this challenge to win a $10 Fred She Said Gift Certificate to get all of these digis. They are fun to play with and make wonderful cards. There are so many ways to use this frame. Love it.
I am entering it in
Ribbon Carousel-use metal(I used metal star brads, and silver brads)
