Here is my project. This was fun to make, lately, I have been on a kick in making frames, so I made this shadowbox frame.
A close up without the frame
I used lots of fun elements to make this page. There are a couple of things that I just love about digis, one is sizing, you can change it to any size. this fits a 8×10 page. I used Bristol Strathamore Paper- it takes copics well. Another thing is flipping the image. I used FSS Hollyhocks and they are facing each other. I colored them using Copics and prisma pencils. Now I have used tons of copics, since I knew I was going to use hummingbirds and they like bright flowers I created hybrid Hollyhocks, coloring them with shades of reds and oranges. I then printed Emma blowing bubbles (adore and love her, she is just gorgeous) on a separate page, colored and cut her out, her skirt is paper pieced with Gina K’s Wisteria Lane. She is also colored with Copics. Her bubbles were colored and then there was glitter added and added a heavy coating of glossy accents. I added MFT felt clouds, MFT by the letters dies to create the word relax, cut with felt and the sentiment is on a MFT fishtail die that is embossed with white embossing powder. Do you see the fun grass at the bottom, this was done with distress markers, there are tons of distress markers used, I learnt this technique here. After I was done, I added Tumbled Glass distress ink. I added some Melissa Frances pearls(colored with copics) and stickles. Added a little butterfly for fun. The flowers that have stickles were done twice and just popped on the top.
Copics and pencils used Flowers/Hollyhocks: R22,29,02. YR18,68,12. Y02 and 08. Leaves YG06, G07, grass green and True Green. Birds/Hummingbirds: E35,33,02, V04,06, R22,29.
Emma: Skin: E000, E00, E11 and R20. Hair: YR23, Y02 and 08. Dress YR31, V04,06, 12 Gold glitter, purple, Seedless preserves and scattered straw distress inks
Grass distress markers: Pine needles, shabby shutters, peeled paint, bundled sage, forest moss, frayed burlap, tea dye, vintage photo, crushed olive, small white gel pen dots and bran door distress markers dots.
Here is the close up of the corner bouquet
I used the flowers from they Easter Chicky, colored it with copics, added a pearl and ribbon, and some MFT fancy flourish. Copics used V15,06 and 12. B66,28,23. Y02,08. YG06, G07. B00.
