I will hopefully have a card for this month of October every day.
I am playing along with Hope You can Cling to Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful cause, and brings cheer and hope to many battling cancer. These cards will be sent to Houston,UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. You can play along too. This challenge was Many colors of cancer, to make a card for someone you were affected by with cancer and to choose it’s correspondent color.
I made this for the challenge Peaceful leaves. I thought roses are so beautiful and calming and their leaves are well shaped so they fit this theme.
I used Fred She said Diamond Rose with Paper pricking pattern. I do not usually paper prick but this helped give it a delicate look. I colored the Rose and leaves with copics. I cut the rose and leaves seperately, the base was also colored so if you look sideways it does not show white. I dry embossed them witha stylus and then added them all around, the leaves also have stickles on them to make them stand out. There is an MFT sentiment from LJD blissful butterflies. I added a ribbon and a button with hemp cord.
Here is a close up of the paper pricking.
I am also adding it to Happy Campers- Show us your flowers. and Crafting By Design- Use ribbon or lace. Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.
Absolutely beautiful!! Thanks for joining us at Crafting by Designs this week!
