I will hopefully have a card for this month of October every day.( more than one today as I made 8 of them but have not uploaded them.
I am playing along with Hope You can Cling to Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful cause, and brings cheer and hope to many battling cancer. These cards will be sent to Houston,UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. You can play along too. This challenge was Impossible things happen- make a card based on fairy tale.
I had this stamp which was prefect, I colored her with copics. She is cut with MFT oval stax. I added some lace to give it a girly look. I added sakura glitter pen and some pink on her as she brings hope. I added some frantage on the side to represent some fairy dust and added a small bow (actually it was a white fluffy bow, but it burnt when I added the frantage, did not see that one coming) so now a simple blue bow.
I am adding this to Simon Says stamp- anything goes.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.
What a beautiful card and a wonderful cause! I really do think you captured the theme perfectly and I know that I felt hopeful and inspired when I looked at your creation. I also loved how you admitted to the frantage fiasco and how you didn’t see it coming! Ha, ha! I always admire when we artists make mistakes and can fess up to them. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s accidentally burnt things! Really beautiful work and I’m so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
This truly is a stunning card and what a wonderful cause! I really did feel hopeful and inspired as I looked at it. It’s a great reminder to all of us that miracles happen all the time and our dreams can still come true no matter what life throws at us. I loved the texture that the lace adds and I laughed at your write-up when you said you’d burnt the bow! I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s burned/melted/fried things in an attempt at creativity. I loved how you could admit it and laugh about it. Beautiful creation and I’m so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
