birthday wishes, cardstock, celebration, copics, embossing powder, gems, handmade card, happy birthday, Nuvo drops, Simonsaystamp, Watercolor, Zig clean color pens

It was my niece’s birthday, so used Kelly as my inspiration for this card.

img_3407

I started with a cloud stamp, when I was removing it from the package the stamp tore- it is a very old stamp. when I saw it broke I thought it was perfect since I needed only the outline and now it was not a full cloud it worked perfectly. I started with embossing it in white. Then I stamped the unicorn from Simon Says Stamp in versafine ink. I masked the unicorn and added the stars. I dried it all. I used zig pens and carefully watercolored without coloring the stars. Once done I colored the stars, unicorn and clouds with copics. I used novo drops I had made earlier and added some shimmer with spectrum noir pen.

I am adding this in four challenges Inky Chicks– Anything goes; Try it on Tuesday– Anything but Square and Unicorn challenges– January Blues; Sparkle and Sprinkle– use embossing powder(on clouds)

Thank you for your sweet comments.

I started with red card stock and then used versa mark ink and ranger gold embossed powder with an MFT background stamp. Love how it came out. I added a ribbon. Three roses using the same paper and embossing as the background. The rolled roses form MFT are fabulous, Added more diecuts of leaves from the wild greenery. I diecut a label and added a simple Happy Birthday sentiment and to add balance added three gold sequins. stickles on the roses and leaves finished the panel. Popped it on the card with foam.

birthday wishes, bling, cardstock, celebration, distress ink, gems, handmade card, happy birthday, MFT dienamics, MFT stamps, pearls, spectrum noir shimmer pen

My husband needed a card at work. This is a 5×7 card.
img_3394I started with a bristol smooth panel. I diecut the MFT soda pop bottles and straw with the same paper. I started with sponging the distress ink on the panel and doing the bottle simultaneously with that color. The paper is fabulous and helps the ink sponge smoothly. I used carved pumpkin(my favorite orange now), candied apple, scattered straw and tumbled glass. I added the matching color stamps on the bottle. I sprayed it with water and used a towel to lift off some color. My daughter suggested that I stagger the straws so that is what I did. Initially I stamped the sentiment directly on paper, did not like it so I rest amped it on another piece and cut it to size and popped it on the panel. I added shine with spectrum noir pen on the bottles. I added the pearls last from my stash. This was backed on a piece of black card stock. Now I love my black card stock so from the center of the panel I removed a piece so  do not waste paper.

I enjoyed thoroughly making the inside. This is the first time I used this MFT balloon stencil and I am in love with it.

img_3393

I used tons of distress inks. I started with candied apple, then scattered straw, tumbled glass. The next row with carved pumpkin, shaded lilac, twisted citron. the next rho was the big spun sugared on the sides is squeezed lemonade, green(can’t recall the name) and ripe persimmon. I stamped Happy Birthday. While ding this I used lots of masking.

I am adding it to three challenges

Craftygirlscreations– Anything goes; seize the birthday– Anything goes and Aud sentiments challenge– anything goes.

Thank you for your sweet comments.

I enjoyed making this card. It has both Shaker and slider element. I was inspired by Emily Cupeley. I tried following her instructions, her card is way better.
img_3307I used Lawn Fawn mermaid set. The sentiments are from Simon says stamp. I used distress inks and sequins. the mermaid was also colored with distress inks.

Here is another New Year card.

img_3303I liked Gina K cards with sunshine in the background so made this inspired by her. I used MFT sun rays stencil with distress inks. First I had stamped the tulips but while coloring with copics they got messed up i decided to make the background panel again and use those same tulips, so i cut them and added to this card. Dry embossed the background. Added layers and ribbon.
