I made this card after I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire on shadow boxes.

My friend had a birthday and I had just bought this stamp from Heroarts and I thought this would be perfect.

So this is the front.

When you open the card this is what you see

For instructions on making this card, please go to Jennifer McGuire’s blog. But after I assembled the Basic box. I started with my panels. Since I had cut the oval for the inside, I used that on the outside of my card. I stamped the leaves on the outside, added a sentiment from mft stamps. Added the lilies from heartfelt creations die, colored with distress inks. The inside panel I colored with distress inks and then stamped the layered parrot, it looks so beautiful in real life. I stamped the leaves and added tiny flowers colored with distress inks from Impression Obsession dies.

Hers is another card my daughter made with the same stamps and Gina K design inks.

I love the bright colors and how everything pops out of the card. The second generation stamping and the color combinations.

Hello Everyone,

I am going to share cards I have made that I shared on instagram (handle- zehrarosebest) but not on my post, I hope to catch up with all my cards in the next two weeks. I made this for someone who is not feeling well.

I truly enjoyed the process of making this card. I was heavily inspired by Ruby- her blog is called A rare ruby.I used mft butterflies, I cut many of them, using all five solid dies. I colored each one of them using gansai tambi paints. This was the first time I used these paints. I added splatter in black, maroon and white paint that was watered down. For the background I added a stencil and some soft distress inks. I dies cut the antennas and added them to the butterfly. This is a 5×5 card. I white embossed thinking of you and added that in a curve. I attached all the butterflies with liquid glue and then added white liquid pearls.

Here is the card from a different angle.
This is the inside.

Coloring Contest- Sympathy Card

Hello Everyone,

I have been making cards and not blogging about them. I made two cards especially  for someone who had a loss, I ended up giving her another card. This one I also made with Kathyrac’s coloring contest in mind.  I started with the background, I used distress oxides- twisted citron, picked raspberry and little I believe wild honey. I sprayed water and picked them with a tissue. I diecut a branch from an old MFT die, it had two little birds on it that i snipped off. I colored the bird from Stampendous, it is one of their mini stamps. I stamped the flower bunch many times and colored those with zig clean color brush pens. I colored the branch with some dark brown ink. I then cut the bunches to have a single or a double flower.  I added everything with liquid glue. I added highlights with a white gel pen and some glossy accents on the flowers. I added tiny green leaves on the branches.I added a sentiment from an mft stamp. A few nuvo drops completed the card.

I am entering this in Kathy Rac coloring contest as a beginner. I only dabble with colors.

Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.

I made a sympathy card with Papertrey ink Gran’s garden stamp.

I started with a black panel, rounded the corner with my corner chomper. I took white kuretake paints and added the splatters. This is a new technique for me and I am liking the look.I stamped three flowers and bunch of leaves, die cut them. On one I added glossy accents and on two stickles. let them dry overnight. I used an MFT stamp for the sentiment that i white embossed with hero arts white embossing powder and versa mark. I arranged the flowers and added sequins. I attached it to a card.

I added small bud detail in the inside.

I am adding this to a couple of challenges- Crafter’s Castle– Anything goes and share a tehnique(splatters) and Simply Papercraft-Anything goes

Sympathy card

Hello

Making a sympathy card always makes you sad and that is why I like to make them a little cheerful.

Do you often wonder if you need products from many companies, well this card sure makes you feel justified. This card had so many mistakes and I am glad I stuck with it.

I started with cutting all the dies, The flowers are from MFT- gerberra daisies. The frame is from Spell binders. I used Gina K design inks to color all of them on a 80 pound paper. I colored the frame with two different blue inks, light and then dark on the edges. Then I colored the flowers in orange and yellow, two shades of each. One was gina K and one was Distress inks. The greens were done the same way- they are a die from MFT too. I did the coloring while I was waiting for my son to be done at the gym in the cafe. I had a couple of little girls watch, it was sweet.

I cam home and started working on the insides, this is where it all went south. I started with adding rajni chawla crystals, while  loved it on the petals it was not good in the middle. So I removed it from the middle and added a glob of nuvo drops. Did not like that, then I added glossy accents and by then it looked dirty. Needless to say I removed that. Then I thought well let me add the inside that the die provides and cut that in brown. It looked good but needed something more. When I was done assembling the card I added glossy accents, left it alone and liked how it looked in the morning. The background was done using Honey bee Lotus stamp embossed in Ranger gold embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment on a brown piece of paper and white heat embossed it. I cut it without measuring but luckily it fit the exact size. Added some sequins. If you look closely the top flower where there is a sequins had not embossed fully, so I added lines with a versamark pen and heat embossed, it is thicker than the other lines. The frames have some yellow spots, sometimes if you stick with it, it all comes together nicely. For a final touch I added some sequins. I am glad I did not give up on it. Some supplies I shop from a local store in Livonia. I have added link to that.

Dahlia cards

Hello

Here are two cards I made using the Concord and 9th turn about stamps – Dahlia is this one. I think I will stay with traditional stamps. I did use the Misti but these were still not the same for me. I know a lot of people love them.

They do help using multiple colors and end up being colorful. I added a few sequins and some shimmer with a shimmer pen.

hello

here are a set of cards that are so fun. I love the sentiments on it.

They were fun to do.   I colored them with zig clean color pens. Added Nuevo drops and sequins.

Have u used the lemon, sage and ginger soap. This is the 4 oz soap.

this next set is all butterflies. I colored the butterflies with gel pens. I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment three times to make it crisp, of course I should have let the glue dry, in the morning I found the sentiment spread a little. One of the cards was stenciled and added a butterfly on the corner. I added Nuvo drops to it.

The wake me up soap has peppermint and spearmint oil with peppermint leaves. I love faith based stamps. the sentiments are wonderful. i stamped the mft leaves in the corner with many mft inks. For the next card I stamped the sentiment and added a border to it. Then I stamped the butterflies and added sticklers to it. For the third card I did something really simple. I stamped the sentiment and added a ribbon and gold Nuvo drops.

The unscented soap is very good with oatmeal.

the next set of cards has layering koi fish from hero arts. I love the colors and layers. The tea tree with eucalyptus oil is 4 oz and has French green clay that goes on so well.
