I used MFT sketch 179.

P1050147

i made this card in three attempts. I knew I wanted to use distress inks, so I started with the circle embossed the MFT concentric circle and the added distress ink, I added the sentiment and where things were embossed it created a gray and black effect, so I tossed it. The second time I stamped the sentiment added the flowers with different distress inks and it looked cool, I added a water brush look with pumice stone, did not like it and tossed it. And then I realized I was always doing it with the sentiment while that could stay outside the panel. It all came together quick.

for this one I used wild honey, squeezed lemonade and spun sugar. The flowers I used the same arrangement I had done the second time but this time with versatile black. Love how this came out. Especially I love the MFT MPD distressed background in fired brick. I love how it stands out with the wild honey.

Of course, after all that I thought there should be some green But then after adding three swirls did not like it so came the flower and the layered buttons to the rescue. I have to say after a long time in making the card, but love the look of it. I added hemp cord for the panel and as an accent to the buttons. I added stickles as the final touch.

i am also adding it to Word Art Wednesday- anything goes

I made this using MFT sketch 170. I took a few liberties with the sketch.

P1040586

I love this flower plate and it looks wonderful with four colors. I have an adhesive sheet behind it so that i do not ahve to glue each piece down. The diagnoal strips were added with chalkboard frame. The saying is from movie stamp and the die is from blue print cut in half after adding the sentiment. I also added an abstract art line with razzle berry ink. For the sentiment I used steel grey love that color. for the two strainght elements I just added ribbon. The leaf is a Whimsy die and the rolled rose is MFT. Most of the dies are MFT and so is the ink and stamp.

Here is the inside

P1040585

Here is a view with the envelope and money carrying puch. I did not want to glue the closing so added a button and twine.

I sponged watercolor paper with distress inks and then stamped with Versafine Ink, I used a ribbon and twine for the thread of affection. The main panel was cut with MFT postage die. I added brad and a wooden button for the final touch.

I am also adding it in Really Reasonable Ribbon- Show me the green

The inside is simple

P1040541

P1040542It is very hard to capture the score lines on a picture, they are above and below the sentiment. This is by far my favorite embossing folder. Then I added the MFT -Fabulous sayings(this is an awesome stamp set) so many ways to dress up a statement. Love it. I added a Pretty Posey die colored with alcohol inks on glossy accent paper. birthday wishes, bling, button, cardstock, celebration, gems, glitter, glossy accents, handmade card, happy birthday, stickles

Me and my daughter made this using MFT sketch 160. After it was done I noticed the dotted paper was a smaller size in the sketch.. too late.

P1040407This was made using MFT inks- lemon drop, razzle berry, pink lemonade and cotton candy. It was LJD birthday greetings, washi patterns and large scale background stamps. There are tons of glitter. The Jody zig zag tape has silver and pink glitter, the birthday greeting and bow has stickles and there are liquid pearls and gems. Also wink of stella pen on the letters ( In the future wait for the ink to dry). A little button with copic colored pearl. Most of the stamping and coloring is done by my daughter( she is eight). I was just showing her how to use the sketch.

here is the inside

P1040408She loves the razzle berry color, hot pink as she calls it.

I am so excited that I am the January guest designer at Loves to Scrap.

The challenge is LTSCB #21: “Anything Goes!“. It runs from January 6-19.

There are 2 sponsors: Technique Junkies (prize is a specialty CD) and The Paper Nest Dolls (prize is a $25 gift certificate to online store – good for digital and rubber stamps)
Here is my card
P1040330
I got this new MFT close knit stamp in the mail and I thought it was perfect for this challenge. My new year resolution is to spend more time with my kids and friends. To work on increasing my business(www.rosebest.com) and learn about social media.
To start my card I used deconstructed sketch 132; I first stamped the hero arts background with versamark ink, embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I used lemon squeezed, tumble grass and shaded lilac distress inks for the background, there is also some frayed burlap(by mistake) on one side.
I embossed a purple cardstock and the other is a out of print text paper. I added twine for the vertical panel and popped the image on the top.  I colored her with copics, love the image and the sentiment that goes with it. I added the sentiment on a flag stax with a button and twine. I added stickles, glossy accents, liquid pearls and sequins to finish the card. I added two gems to her shoes for a last touch.
I love the inside, I used a polka dot greetings to match the front.
P1040327
I am entering it in deconstructed sketch- #132; Simon Says stamp– anything new- my new stamp; Loves rubber stamp– new year resolution to spend time with friends; Color me creative– anything goes.

I made this for Loves RUbber stamps guest Dt card for week 4. This is my last card for them in the month of November. I truly enjoyed creating the cards this month. The challenge is Showing Thanks and the sponsor is Saturated Canary– I used the stamp- Grow. THis challenge is a perfect way to end my month with Loves Rubber stamps and to say Thank you.

P1040218

If you have not visited Loves Rubber stamps– you should- it is like a one stop shop for most of your crafting needs.

I used the splitcoaststampers sketch 463, it had so many layers, so my thing! for the square layer I added a piece of lace, sorry the oval hides it it is an awesome lace. I colored the image with copics, and added wild honey distress ink to it’s background and to all the papers. I love this Gina K Design paper. The image was cut with MFT- oval Stax. I added glossy accents to the pot and flowers. Isn’t the MFT solid bracket border awesome, it is good enough to stand alone by itself. Behind the oval are two different MFT fishtail falg stax. I cut the flower- MFT pretty posies from My mind’s Eye paper and used the embossing tool kit to curl the flowers, I added milled lavender to it and then popped it all between the layers. I added a button and hemp cord that I colored with distress ink. I added a MFT vintage flourish and a zva pearl. I added some white pearls to balance it all.

Here is the inside.

I will hopefully have a card for this month of October every day.

I am playing along with Hope You can Cling to Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful cause, and brings cheer and hope to many battling cancer. These cards will be sent to Houston,UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. You can play along too. This challenge was Many colors of cancer, to make a card for someone you were affected by with cancer and to choose it’s correspondent color.

I made this for the challenge Peaceful leaves. I thought roses are so beautiful and calming and their leaves are well shaped so they fit this theme.

P1030967

I used Fred She said Diamond Rose with Paper pricking pattern. I do not usually paper prick but this helped give it a delicate look. I colored the Rose and leaves with copics. I cut the rose and leaves seperately, the base was also colored so if you look sideways it does not show white. I dry embossed them witha  stylus and then added them all around, the leaves also have stickles on them to make them stand out. There is an MFT sentiment from LJD blissful butterflies. I added a ribbon and a button with hemp cord.

Here is a close up of the paper pricking.

P1030969

I am also adding it to Happy Campers- Show us your flowers. and Crafting By Design- Use ribbon or lace. Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.

I will hopefully daily have a card for this month of October.

I am playing along with Hope You can Cling to Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful cause, and brings cheer and hope to many battling cancer. These cards will be sent to Houston,UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.

SO the first challenge is to make a window card in the inside- Inner Strength

season love

I used MFT mod patterns, trio snowflake and christmas sentiment. I added sequins for a fun look, I added some stickles to the snowflake after distressing it. Love how the circle stax was perfect for the window
here is a close ip of the snowflake
P1030894
The second challenge is to add red or orange or both for Courage and Strength, so I added both
rainbow
I used Rubber stampeded stamp and colored it with my copics, added some yellow for the base, the sentiment was added with sweet tooth ink, I added some red gems and a ribbon.- I am adding it to Pile it on- leaves
The third challenge for Oct 1 scared me, I am not one to do CAS cards.- keep it flat- Flat is fabulous.  I had seen Jennifer McGuire do a card with triangles where she first added white pigment ink and then offset it with another ink.
Since I had MFT triangles stamp and die I used that to create a mask and work on this card
friends
I had to add the flower on the top, all that white space did not go well with me. I love it when others do it but somehow I cannot. I used many MFT inks- sweet tooth, razzle berry, fuse green, limeade, blu Raspberry, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, and red hot.
I am adding the first and last card in Simon Says Stamp- going dotty.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.
