burlap paper, butterflies, cardstock, celebration, copics, distress ink, embossing powder, flower, Fred She Said, glitter, handmade card, handmade flowers, MFT dienamics, MFT ink, MFT stamps, pearls, stickles

I made this using Mojo Monday sketch 366. October is a month when I like to make cards to give. Jennifer McGuire has the caring hearts card drive for nursing homes, and I am going to make two cards of each pattern I make, one to send to the drive and one to give/sell.

P1050405

I love how this came out. I used Fred She Said- Doodled flower trio set – it has flowers, leaves and this gorgeous butterfly. I colored them with copics- Y02,08 and 23. YR18,21,68. Added some white wiht white signo pen. I added stickles overnight.

I used MFT dies for all the sections, main yellow panel, the rectangles behind. The square is our of Quic Qutz die. I added an MFT sentiment heat embossed with detail Ranger powder.. Two pearls around the sentiment completes the card. behind the yellow panel I added the Mod pattern stamp in safety orange ink. One of the rectangle panel is from a new pack I got from Jo Ann called Burlap paper. It has beautiful pattern with the look of burlap. Just Awesome.

Here is a close up of the flower and butterfly.

P1050406
The cards should have a message from you in the inside, this may be a little hard for me, I love to do the insides but usually leave it blank.

P1050399

Picture of both cards

P1050403

I am adding this also to Word Art Wednesday– anything goes; Loves rubber stamps– They are back- sending good thoughts- challenge is Anything goes;

Thank you for vistiing and for your sweet comments.

sympathyI colored it with copics-B23,24 and 28. I used colorless blender for the tips and white signs pen. I also used V15 for the centers. YG03 nd 06 for the leaves. For the butterfly(I just love it) I used BV00,V12; Y08, YR12, BG10 and 12. I added sequins, pattern paper from stash and twine. I added stickles on the butterfly and some wink a stella in the center of the flowers. MFT Sentiment is embossed with fine detail EP. Main image was cut with MFT die.

cardstock, Fred She Said, handmade card, handmade flowers, sequins

I made this with the latest MFT sketch 186

I will have another card for this sketch but since I am at work I have a very crude card for the challenge I made at work

image
it is simple and uses Fred she Said flowers. I handwrote the saying and doodled on the border.

You know in three years I have never forgotten to add my MFT card, and today I came to work and realized that I had not linked up my card. So I made this with limited supplies at work, very simple but sometimes you do what you got to do, and this was one of those times.

Do come back tomorrow for the card I will have up with this sketch, at night I will be partying as it is EID, yes 30 days of fasting done(month of Ramadan)  and now is the time to Celebrate!!.

This is a long post. There are nine cards in all. These are all for the Love Fest challenge at Splitcoast stampers. I was on a card making frenzy and so enjoyed it.

This is for Puppy Love– card with a warm critter

P1040540

I sponged watercolor paper with distress inks and then stamped with Versafine Ink, I used a ribbon and twine for the thread of affection. The main panel was cut with MFT postage die. I added brad and a wooden button for the final touch.

I am also adding it in Really Reasonable Ribbon- Show me the green

The inside is simple

P1040541

This is for Lovey Dovey Spring- by Stamping Bella

P1040552

The main panel is another diecut from MFT. The image is from Fred She Said- Doodled Floral Image. I love their images. I colored it with copics and paper pieced and colored the yellow flower and the leaves. I added white gel pen for effect. I love the sequins paper peeking through the lace. The saying is from MFT Fabulous sayings.

I am adding this to Great Impressions- Spring Celebrations and Simply Create Too- Shop in your stash– all the items used are from my stash.

The inside

P1040553

This is for Doodle Do- Taylored Expressions

P1040530

This card was heavily influenced by Jennifer McGuire. I love her videos and ideas. I added a doodled border and colored it with copics. I love the feathers and sentiment from MFT. I added some buttons for texture. When I embossed my feathers a spot did not have embossed powder on it, I took a brush and added embossing ink and then added the powder to even it out.

I am adding it to Challenge 4 everybody- Anything goes– this is a 5.5×5.5 card.

The inside

P1040532

This is for the Inspiration Challenge- By Cat’s Pajamas, love the birdhouse and the iron gates.

P1040533I used lots of MFT diecuts. papers are from different paper pads and scrap. the corners looked like the gates, I added pearls to the branch and house.

I am adding this to Simon Says Stamp- Anything goes with pearls

The inside

P1040535

This is for the Color Challenge-Sweet n’Sassy. Colors were white, red, pink and brown with additional ingredient of Love.

P1040547I had this lovely out of print paper that had browns and pinks and I thought it was perfect. I added MFT die and stamp. Love this saying with this heart. Added some sequins to balance the card.

I am adding it to Challenges 4 everybody- anything goes

The inside

P1040548

This is for Let’s Score- Scor Pal

P1040542It is very hard to capture the score lines on a picture, they are above and below the sentiment. This is by far my favorite embossing folder. Then I added the MFT -Fabulous sayings(this is an awesome stamp set) so many ways to dress up a statement. Love it. I added a Pretty Posey die colored with alcohol inks on glossy accent paper. I added a pearl and a couple rose leaves.

I am adding this to Jo’s Scrap Shack- Florals

here is my card

SNOW

I used Emma and the snowball, she is colored with copics and paper pieced. There are stickles and white enamel paint for the snow. I also added MFT snowflakes and alphabets to make the saying.

Here is a quick tutorial on how to digitally paper piece an image.

first print the image the way you want it on a computer paper, (all the girls are 2 inch in width so I could make a 5×7 card) the thin cheap one, it should not be thick.

P1040257

then stick the printed paper on top of it with removable tape, I used post it tape here

P1040258run it through your printer

P1040259now you have the image in the same size as your image, do note where u put your tape, for example the ball of the cap is on my tape, since I did not need it, it was ok.

now print your image on your copic paper or any paper that you will use for your card, here it is semi colored and just the pieces to show,. When I looked at this I saw that I had colored the hands too, lol,  they should be gloves, my card has it changed, luckily the colors I choose are dark enough to hide that.

P1040260

here is another look at the finished card

SNOW
I am adding it to Simon Says stamp– snow and Pile it on- P is for paper piecing.

bling, brad, cardstock, celebration, copics, distress ink, flower, Fred She Said, gems, glossy accents, handmade card, handmade flowers, MFT dienamics, MFT ink, MFT stamps

I will hopefully have a card for this month of October every day. My last one for HYCCT challenges.

I am playing along with Hope You can Cling to Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful cause, and brings cheer and hope to many battling cancer. These cards will be sent to Houston,UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. You can play along too. This challenge was I can’t Believe it is over( exactly my sentiments)- We had to use black and white with pop of color, I choose Blue as my color(Team Skyler)

P1040127

I used Fred she said stencil leaves image in the background. I used the teacup pansies- which are precolored. Since the leaves were bright green and I wanted it to be black, I added copics -C7,5,3 and 1. I added the middle flower in three layers to add dimension and the bud. I colored the flowers with salty ocean distress ink.  At the bottom I have the double dot die and I added a gem in each center. I added two brads on the top and the sentiment on a fishtail flag stax from MFT. I also added glossy accents to the flowers and rim of the tea cup.

here is a simple inside

P1040128

I am adding this to 613 avenue create– anything goes and crazy 4 challenges-black and white with pop of color.

Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments. Please come back tomorrow for some exciting news.
