I added two pearls colored with R22 on the panel and added flourishes to the corners. I added the sentiment on a fishtail stax, a medium scallop and a ribbon. A button with twine and some pearls

I made this card for the MFT guest Challenge for March. This sketch has tons of layers and I love that.

light girlI stamped the PI- Cute as a button girl on Express IT blending card and colored her with copics. I paper pieced her pants and added R29 for the stripes. I added glossy acents to her top and blue stickles to the jar, gold stickles to the roses on her dress and head. I added some gems to her shoes, love little details like that. I used the same paper to add the fishtail banner cut with the fishtail flag stax and it’s layer. I curled the layer. Throughout the card I have added distress inks, Antique linen and the border with Vintage photo after distressing the edges with distressed tool. I have also added finishing flourishes to the edges. The circle also has stickles aroung it. The background paper is My Mind’s Eye- A Mother’s Love- that pack has some awesome papers. I added a lace and pearl lace to the square as a accent. Love how that looks. I added a organza ribbon for the straight panel and a bow with a vintage button. The sentiment is stamped with Black MFT ink, I love the sharpness of the ink, it is a beauty.

After I photographed her I felt the center of her face needed some blending, so I decided to change her to be more ethnic and added E13 and E15 to her face and skin. Let me know which one you like.

Your job, dear blog hopper, is to hop along and TALLY up how many DT thought it will be an EARLY SPRING and how many predict a LATE SPRING.   Instructions on how to enter will be posted on the last stop at the FSS CHALLENGE BLOG.

ONE LUCKY WINNER WILL RECEIVE:

HERE IS MY PREDICTION:

EARLY SPRING

Based on my preddiction here is what I came up with. when I heard at Linda’s that embroidery hoops were in trend, I loved it, I love embroidery so I used two hoops to make these projects.

here is the first one

P1030274I first cut the yellow circle and then the pattern paper that was edged with squeezed lemonade distress ink. I printed the Viney flourish 1 and cut it into a circle. I added stitches with green prisma pencil. Dahlia is considered a spring flower, so I colored the dahlia with copics Y02,08 and YR23. I fussy cut it and added distress ink both squuezed lemonade and mustard seed. I added some leaves from the same set colored with YG03 and 06. I added some MFT finishing flourishes to the border with both inks it is hard to see, but both colors are there. For the top I cut a Howdy die and stamped dots and the sentiment. Took some twine and a matching button(I love that) and added it on the top. For the final touch I added a rhinestone and added glossy accents to all the leaves, it looks beautiful and shiny.

Here is the second one, I had to make one with Emma.

joy

I added a rose circle with a beautiful rose pattern paper, sorry it is all hidden under the lace. I printed Emma and the butterfly 3.5 inches(isn’t she wonderfully welcoming spring) and colored her with copics skin-E01,11,RV13. Hair-Y02,08,YR23, E11 dress-R20,22,29. The butterfly was colored with red and yellows. I added grass with prisma pencils. and added the sky with tumbled glass. I used scor tape to add the lace behind giving it little tucks along the way so it would come along nicely around. I used MFT fishtail stax and added Micheals sentiment. I added it to the the hoop with hemp cord and another button that had some mixed reds. For finishing touches I added sakura glitter pen to the shoes and the butterfly and glossy accents to the butterfly.

Here it is on the wall, sorry for the picture being a little blurry, but you get the idea.

brad, cardstock, celebration, copics, distress ink, distress markers, flower, gems, glossy accents, handmade card, handmade flowers, hearts, MFT dienamics, MFT finishing Flourishes, MFT stamps, My Mind's Eye, pearls, prisma pencils, rolled daisy, stickles

I made both of these cards for the MFT guest DT challenge 0213. I followed Inge’s instructions at the MFT academy, for both these cards.  The difference is that one is colored with prisma pencils and one with copics and pencils.

This one is colored with prisma pencils, I went ahead and tried doing the pleats.

P1030262

I’ve used one of my favorite PI-Cute-a-tude. Her cheeks have tattered rose distress markers and the background is tumbled sky. I added finishing flourishes to the circle on which she stands and I wanted to mimic the dots on the panel in the circle and so used LJD darling dots. I added vellum on it to soften the look and then popped her on it. The bottom has the crown border dienamic. I added some gems to it and some around her and on her shoes. I added stickles to her flower in her hair. There is the rolled daisy with stickles and a brad and the leafy flourish. All edges were brushed with Wild Honey distress ink. I added the sentiment formt he same PI set.

Here is the inside

P1030264

This is the one with copics using same principles as in the pencils. I used BV colors to color her dress.

P1030257

I have used the same PI-Cute-a tude. I also added finishing flourishes to the circle and added vellum on top Brushing it all with shaded lilac distress ink before popping her up on it. Also between the two circles there are pop dots. The bottom has medium scallops and they have some gems, love the look it gives, did you see the steel cardstock, it is awesome and a great match. I added the notched tag with it’s heart and to soften the steel cardstock I added vellum on it. These are beautiful printed vellum, it came in my daughter’s doll making collection, at times she finds pleasure in giving me papers that she likes me to use. I added hemp cord and a gem on the top with glossy acents. Her hair has stickles on the flower and her shoes have gems.

P1030230

I colored the skin and hair Little shutterbug PI with prismacolor pencils based on the tutorial at the MFT Academy by Inge. I used the same exact colors, love that combo for the hair. I then added some paint with a brush and twinkling H2O. Added some flourishes to the border from Finishing flourishes. There are lots of dienamics- photo corner, flourish, small and medium roses and fishtail stax. There is stickles and pearls added. Paper is from the sweetest thing- lavender and some from my stash. Lace is also from my stash.

I made two Happy Birthday cards.

Here is the one with the MFT sketch. I made this for my lovely niece who turned 16.

P1030220

I had lots of fun making this card. I used At the movies die and stamp set. I used MFT ink. I distressed the sides with spun sugar distress ink and added finisihing flourishes with victorian velvet and worn lipstick distress ink, second generation stamping. I used the Howdy die and the I love you is from Lovey Dovey sentiments. I added a dainty bow. Stickles and Lace is from my stash.

here is the inside , I added the number 16

P1030221Here is my second card, this one I cased after Lisa, I saw her card and loved it, Of course here’s is way better but I loved how this came out.

P1030223I cut the side of the card with wavy edge. Stamped darling dots, then I took a piece of card and cut it to fit the saying from Big greetings and stamped it with three different MFT inks. Added stars form Howdy stamp and added some flax twine.

I made this using the deconstructed Jen Sketch 83. It is also a DT call, what a great chance. I love sketches with layers and this one is great.

P1030207

I used Fred She Said image Emma with her frills on. She is completely 3 D pieced. She was a total of 13 pieces before she was joined together. I stamped her four times, colored her with copics and then joined her back together. I added some finishing flourishes stamp from MFT around her, the buttons(aren’t they gorgeous, my sister sent them to me) , ribbon  and lace are from my stash, I added twine and a wild orchid rose. I added MFT hemp cord by her legs for her ground, great texture. i added glossy accents to have an interesting appeal to the eye. The background paper is also from Fred She Said, summer roses by Bearly Mine Designs. The sentiment is form MFT- Simply said.

here is a simple inside with just the finishing flourishes.
