birthday wishes, cardstock, celebration, handmade card, handmade flowers, Hero Arts, MFT stamps, pearls, rosebest, stickles, white gel pen

I made this card after I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire on shadow boxes.

My friend had a birthday and I had just bought this stamp from Heroarts and I thought this would be perfect.

So this is the front.

When you open the card this is what you see

For instructions on making this card, please go to Jennifer McGuire’s blog. But after I assembled the Basic box. I started with my panels. Since I had cut the oval for the inside, I used that on the outside of my card. I stamped the leaves on the outside, added a sentiment from mft stamps. Added the lilies from heartfelt creations die, colored with distress inks. The inside panel I colored with distress inks and then stamped the layered parrot, it looks so beautiful in real life. I stamped the leaves and added tiny flowers colored with distress inks from Impression Obsession dies.

Hers is another card my daughter made with the same stamps and Gina K design inks.

I love the bright colors and how everything pops out of the card. The second generation stamping and the color combinations.

Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.

Hello everyone

Here is the third part of 2017 cards.

I do keep my instagram account active, the handle is zehrarosebest.

The first set of cards:

I love the rose from mft stamps. it is a good layering rose and a beauty by itself, I used mft inks and added rajnichawla crystals to make it shine. This is an mft sentiment. I have added glossy accents all over. The next card i used an acrylic block and added different distress oxide inks over it, sprayed water and stamped that. Once it was dry I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment as it took at least three attempts to make it dark and crisp.                                                                                                 The rose soap has rose clay and is so soothing. It is made with olive, palm and coconut oil. It has shea butter, castor oil and sweet almond oil to fatten them.

This card was so much fun to do. The card was stamped with an mft background stamp with versa mark ink and then embossed it with ranger gold embossing powder. I love the shirt die as it is a perfect focal point. I stamped an old mft flourish and added a birthday stamp, all using mft electric red ink. and the inside has the flourish

This set is colorful and I love this stamps. The roses are from mft, the lily is from Altenew. I used both mft and altenew inks here. On the roses I embossed the sentiment and on the lily I just stamped over the lily. I also added stickles and sequins for the final touch. The lavender soap has lavender buds and smells heavenly. The essential oils and the ingredients helps soothe the skin.

The set above was cool to do. The first was stenciled with tim holtz stencil with distress oxide inks and then the sentiment was stamped. The butterflies are from mft and then stickles were spread on it. For the second card i stamped the hero arts flower, masked it and added leaves. After i colored it with zig clean color pens I added a sentiment. I added glossy accents on the center of the flower and popped a ladybug on it with glossy accents on the top. I added a simple sentiment to it.

The lip balms are awesome. They have cocoa butter, castor oil, sweet almond oil and beeswax. The bubblegum flavor is loved by many.

The set below was quick cards to do. The first one was all mft dies layered over one another and then the sentiment stamped just before i adhered the leaves. I added a few gems. for the second card it was all embossed snowflakes from mft. And then embossed with versa mark ink and different embossing powders. i added a four layer sentiment. I cute it from three white card stock pieces and one on the top in pink.

The lip balms are Pina colada.

The above cards were from mft stamps. The first one is just layering of stamps and mixed leaves from another stamp. I added a ribbon and the sentiment at the bottom. I added some rajnichawla crystals. For the second card i masked the center and then stamped the flowers on both sides. I colored them with gel pens. I added glossy accents and a twine for the final touch.

The soaps are 1 oz. They come in 1oz, 4oz and 1 pound size.

The last card for this post was for a birthday.

This was just stenciling with distress inks. I added a sentiment and some small stars and confetti in black ink. I added some novo drops since this was for a male.

Have you seen my soaps or lip balms, the body butters are awesome.

Hello everyone

I realized that I have not been keeping up with my blog in 2017. I have made many cards since July, so for the next four posts I will have all cards to catch up.

I do keep my instagram account active, the handle is zehrarosebest.

Here are six cards.

This uses sweet n sassy land scape images and lots of distress oxide inks. I love how creamy the inks look on it. The sentiment is heat embossed from mftstamps. Added twine and brads and pearls to finish the Card.

This card was made by my daughter for her cousin. She colored the background and added a die cur background from spellbinders. Love the Nuvo drops on it. The ribbon makes it into a perfect gift.
Here are some embroidery pieces I made, this is huck  embroidery.
Here is a card I made using the same die from spellbinders amazing grace, but coloring the die and adding heartfelt creations flowers to it. Love this sentiment from Altenew.

I decided to make some mini cards and loved how they turned out, they were all done to say Thank you to my customers for their orders.
There were so many products used for these. mft stamps, distress inks, honeybee lotus stamp, zig clean color pens, stencils and flower dies. These were quick and fun to do. This lavender soap is so soothing and it has lavender buds that give u the perfect exfoliation.

Have you seen my soaps or lip balms, the body butters are awesome. Go to my website http://www.rosebest.com

Hello everyone

Here are some cards I have made but unable to post.

This was a card with a new stamp from waffle flowers, it is illustrated by Helen Drdik, do check her work. Colored with topics and added glossy accents.

Here is the inside

This was a simple card with Hero arts flower

I loved adding the white highlights.

This was a card made with no supplies and one I needed on the spot.

I handwrote the sentiment and added things that were around.

I enjoyed making this card for backdropinabox-she was celebrating 100 K followers, and she is inspiring to follow.

I had these backgrounds made and used it to cut the flowers, love the vibrancy and dylusion sentiment.

This card was made with honeybee stamps- this country bloom stamp is lovely and I was inspired by Jennifer mcguire shaker card using tulle.

Thanks for visitng and for your sweet comments. Hope you enjoyed seeing some cards that were made.

The next post will have five more cards.

My husband needed a card at work. This is a 5×7 card.
img_3394I started with a bristol smooth panel. I diecut the MFT soda pop bottles and straw with the same paper. I started with sponging the distress ink on the panel and doing the bottle simultaneously with that color. The paper is fabulous and helps the ink sponge smoothly. I used carved pumpkin(my favorite orange now), candied apple, scattered straw and tumbled glass. I added the matching color stamps on the bottle. I sprayed it with water and used a towel to lift off some color. My daughter suggested that I stagger the straws so that is what I did. Initially I stamped the sentiment directly on paper, did not like it so I rest amped it on another piece and cut it to size and popped it on the panel. I added shine with spectrum noir pen on the bottles. I added the pearls last from my stash. This was backed on a piece of black card stock. Now I love my black card stock so from the center of the panel I removed a piece so  do not waste paper.

I enjoyed thoroughly making the inside. This is the first time I used this MFT balloon stencil and I am in love with it.

img_3393

I used tons of distress inks. I started with candied apple, then scattered straw, tumbled glass. The next row with carved pumpkin, shaded lilac, twisted citron. the next rho was the big spun sugared on the sides is squeezed lemonade, green(can’t recall the name) and ripe persimmon. I stamped Happy Birthday. While ding this I used lots of masking.

I am adding it to three challenges

Craftygirlscreations– Anything goes; seize the birthday– Anything goes and Aud sentiments challenge– anything goes.

Thank you for your sweet comments.

img_1929This is a card entry for the MFT superstar card design contest. I used different MFT dies and stamps. the panel is from MFT blueprint, MFT mini roses, medium rolled rose and the large rolled rose. I colored them with MFT and distress inks. The butterfly is from the Flutter of solid butterflies and the sentiment is from an old MFT set. The rose leaves are my favorite to use. Do you see the small stamps on the printed paper, it is an old MFT stamp too. I think it gives a nice background to it. I added pearls, sequins, glossy accent and some stickles for the final touch.

Altenew inks, birthday wishes, cardstock, celebration, distress ink, handmade card, handmade flowers, happy birthday, MFT dienamics, papertrey stamps, Papertrey stencils, pearls, versafine ink

I made this using papertrey stamps, and stencils. I used the make it Monday technique. this was different, I have used stencils but this is the first time I colored and then used stencils. Next time I would use darker colors to add on top so it is more vibrant though I like this subtle look.

image

I started with inking spun sugar distress ink them altenew coral and ruby red, then yellows. Once done I used the three stencils, I like how they are separated so masking is not needed. Then I stamped the images and die cut the sentiment thrice. Added some pearls for the final touch.

I am adding this to Creative moments- anything goes, sentiment in front and Simon Says Stamp-leap in the unknown- new technique.
