The circle is cut with Quic Kutz die. Then I stamped a doily from Inkadinkado. I colored it with distress markers and added some Sakura glitter pen for shine. Buttons have a little twine on them and the butterfly is from my stash. I loved the simple sketch.

back to school, cardstock, Fred She Said, handmade card, handmade flowers, MFT dienamics, Quick Kutz dies, sew easy floss

I made a card for the Back To school challenge at Penny’s Challenges. This challenge is being sponsored by Fred SHe Said, so check it out, it is a great way to get a gift certificate.

Since I am on a kick for making shaped cards and to try my hand again at a CAS card, I used the Quick Kutz circles. If you have never used them they are wonderful dies andd also the holes all cut out as there is foam pad for each hole. I colored the main image –Apple for Teacher Digi from Fred She Said with copics. It is a wonderful clean image. The apple I used the palette method to color i.e. I added R22 and R29 on a piece of acetate and then picked up the color with R22 and colored the apple with that. The book is all C family C1,3,5,7.

Ribbon Carousel had a challenge to add stiching and made me think of adding the red and green floss all around the circle, loved how it turned out. I added a button and bow to it’s corner. Secured it with glossy accents.

Here is the inside. I added MFT – alphabet dies to spell Fun and some stiching. I loved school and my children have that love too.

I am entering them in a few challenges.
