Fred She Said Ground Hog Day Blog Hop
Fred She Said is having a Ground Hog Day Blog Hop. Tracey, from Fred She Said hails from Wiarton, Ontario, Canada, home of Wiarton Willie, the albino ground hog. Every February 2nd, Willie emerges from his den to predict whether or not we will have an early Spring. If he sees his shadow, he will become frightened and scurry back into his den, hailing 6 more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, he will declare an EARLY SPRING woohoo! Tracey has asked the Fred She Said DT to make a card – either a “wintery” card ( if they think Willie will predict a LATE SPRING ) or a “Flowery or Spring” card ( if they think he will predict an EARLY SPRING ).
Your job, dear blog hopper, is to hop along and TALLY up how many DT thought it will be an EARLY SPRING and how many predict a LATE SPRING. Instructions on how to enter will be posted on the last stop at the FSS CHALLENGE BLOG.
ONE LUCKY WINNER WILL RECEIVE:

HERE IS MY PREDICTION:
EARLY SPRING
Based on my preddiction here is what I came up with. when I heard at Linda’s that embroidery hoops were in trend, I loved it, I love embroidery so I used two hoops to make these projects.
here is the first one
I first cut the yellow circle and then the pattern paper that was edged with squeezed lemonade distress ink. I printed the Viney flourish 1 and cut it into a circle. I added stitches with green prisma pencil. Dahlia is considered a spring flower, so I colored the dahlia with copics Y02,08 and YR23. I fussy cut it and added distress ink both squuezed lemonade and mustard seed. I added some leaves from the same set colored with YG03 and 06. I added some MFT finishing flourishes to the border with both inks it is hard to see, but both colors are there. For the top I cut a Howdy die and stamped dots and the sentiment. Took some twine and a matching button(I love that) and added it on the top. For the final touch I added a rhinestone and added glossy accents to all the leaves, it looks beautiful and shiny.
Here is the second one, I had to make one with Emma.

I added a rose circle with a beautiful rose pattern paper, sorry it is all hidden under the lace. I printed Emma and the butterfly 3.5 inches(isn’t she wonderfully welcoming spring) and colored her with copics skin-E01,11,RV13. Hair-Y02,08,YR23, E11 dress-R20,22,29. The butterfly was colored with red and yellows. I added grass with prisma pencils. and added the sky with tumbled glass. I used scor tape to add the lace behind giving it little tucks along the way so it would come along nicely around. I used MFT fishtail stax and added Micheals sentiment. I added it to the the hoop with hemp cord and another button that had some mixed reds. For finishing touches I added sakura glitter pen to the shoes and the butterfly and glossy accents to the butterfly.
Here it is on the wall, sorry for the picture being a little blurry, but you get the idea.

Blog Hop closes Friday February 8 2013 Midnight EST.
