I enjoyed making this card using MFT sketch 188.

P1050263

For all my panels and different elements on the card I used different dies from blueprints 3,11,15. Stamp is from MFT. The background I used Hero Arts leaf and flourish stencil with versamark ink and I embossed it with Recollections clear gold- sparkle embossing powder, loved how it looks all shiny. On the flag panel I added Large background diamonds in stripe fashion and then added the LGD strips under and over the sentiment and embossed that too. Love the flower all stickled up for shine, with the rose leaf die, the heart in the corner was cut from an embossed felt. I added some sequins.

Love how the inside came out.

P1050261

I am also adding this to Loves rubber stamp- out of season card and Simon says stamp- make it sparkle(all the sparkle started with this challenge), A blog named Hero- Die a little and Word art Wednesday- anything goes.

I made this using MFT sketch 168.

P1040575

I love the grout gray color, and I used this color combo for sketch 167 and love the look, so I used it again. this time I used textile background and for the hexagons, I did not fill it all. I added a vellum, circle from Circle stax 1 and 2. An hibiscus leaf and perrenial flower.  I added some photo coners. The sentiment is on Washi tape die and added the SD border and doodle. Some sequins were added, a brad to the center of the flower and stickles for the shine. All dies, inks and stamps are from MFT.

Here is the inside

P1040577I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp- Glitter it and That craft place- flowers and Mother’s Day.

Sweet Sunday Sketch and my first mini tutorial

brad, butterflies, cardstock, celebration, distress ink, flower, Fred She Said, handmade card, handmade flowers, lace, MFT dienamics, MFT stamps, pearls, special, spring, stickles

I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch 182. I loved the sketch. I loved how the flowers came out so if you scroll down I have a mini tutorial on it. It is the first time I have done a tutorial so pardon all mistakes.

P1030564l Stamped the sentiment using MFT Black Licorice ink, this is a fabulous ink and this is the first time I used this sentiment. Love how it came out. I have distressed all edges. The flowers- happy Flowers and Ornate Butterflies are from Fred She Said. Butterflies are watercolroed with Distress ink and fussy cut. I have added pearls and brads, stickles for shine. I added two dienamics- flag stax(my fav die) and medium scallops. A lace just to break the color.

Here is the inside

P1030567I loved how the pink flower turned out so I thought I would do a quick mini tutorial on how I did them showing the purple ones. THis is picture heavy so just relax and enjoy. You can use this tutorial with most of the flowers at Fred She Said.

I first cut out all the flowers- these are the new Happy flowers from Fred She Said- as you can see I am not very exact in how I cut, don’t worry this will all get colored and scrunched and will not be too visible. I just printed the full sheet and so I did not have to worry about sizing each flower. As you can see for the purple I did not use the largest layer but did use it for the pink one.

P1030527You can use reinkers but since I don’t have that I dabbed some distress inks directly on my craft mat and sprayed them with pearlized water using my mister. I used Seedless preserves and milled lavender.

P1030528Wear gloves- I used disposable glove and dab each flower, back and front in the ink and scrunch them up.P1030529P1030530Dry them well. Open them up and layer them in two layers staggering each layer of the same size. On the smallest layer size add a half pearl.P1030532Join the entire flower and again scrunch it up. You can see in this picture one joint flower and one totally scrunched up.P1030536 Open it up with a paper piercer and then arrange it the way you wnat, remember it will dry that way. Then I added stickles, that is always my choice of glitter but you can use dazzling dust, fine glitter, Just drops of glossy accents and glass sprinkles. Whatever you  love that can shine.

Here is a close up when finished. The pink one was done with Pickled Raspberry Distress ink. the leaves were done the same way with mowed lawn distress ink.

P1030565I am entering it in a few contest

brad, cardstock, handmade card, handmade flowers, MFT dienamics, MFT finishing Flourishes, Miss Carolina papers, special

I used the sketch from Verve March-week 1. It had cool layers.

I did the Tulip background with Spellbinders Impressabilities and distress inks. It was something different for me but I loved the look of it when done. I adhered a white paper and the impressabilites with small tape on the side. this helped it stay in place. I started with aged mahagony distress ink and the distress foam tool. I inked it all the way. after which i inked it with broken china, it looks almost purple in some spots, and then with wild honey. I removed the tulip impressabilites and this is what was left. I cut it according to the sketch and distressed the edges with antique linen. Tulips always make me think happy thoughts and that spring is here.

I added some icy stickles to the frame, the inside has been stamped with aged mahagony. love that pattern. Added a ribbon and some twine to give it more dimension. Flowers have the white brad in between.

The inside is simple

Supplies: Papers: Miss Carolina- Howdy Doody, PTI cardstock.

Dies -Verve-Rectangle frame

I used the sketch from Some ODD GIRL It was real fun.

I used Summery Mae digital stamp. I colored her with Prisma color pencils. ( skin is mineral orange, rosy beige, light umber, burnt ochre and terra cotta, hair is Chocolate, light umber and peach beige) She is so pretty, adore her. I paper pieced her outfit. This was the first time I have paper pieced a digital image. After cutting out all the pieces I distressed them before adhering it to the image. I added distress markers to add some shading.

I stamped the sentiment before adhering the panel to the card. Added the rose, flourish and some butterflies. Love the brad in between the rose, A scallop on the side finished the card.

I used twine to give her some ground.

I used the sketch from Ribbon Carousel. It was fun to do.

Since it was a challenge combined with Sweet Stamp Shop, I used their stamps. I love how their stamps can be combined to create a scene. One of the things I love to do. Love those sweet balloons.  Added some photo corners from MFT, added some liquid pearls and white gel for some extra touches. totally love how it turned out.
