I made this with the latest MFT sketch 186

I will have another card for this sketch but since I am at work I have a very crude card for the challenge I made at work

it is simple and uses Fred she Said flowers. I handwrote the saying and doodled on the border.

You know in three years I have never forgotten to add my MFT card, and today I came to work and realized that I had not linked up my card. So I made this with limited supplies at work, very simple but sometimes you do what you got to do, and this was one of those times.

Do come back tomorrow for the card I will have up with this sketch, at night I will be partying as it is EID, yes 30 days of fasting done(month of Ramadan)  and now is the time to Celebrate!!.

MFTWSC183/ Smile

, , , , , , , ,

I made this using MFT sketch 183. I loved the simplicity of the sketch and so I kept my card relatively CAS and in one color.

I used blueprints for the panels, Corner chomper and the new peek a boo hearts- i love it!, i used twine to make the stitches, added the sentiment from the new stamp set in steel gray ink and cut lower case alphabet to make the word smile in MFT cardstock- Razzle Berry. I added liquid pearls in rouge and flamingo.

THe inside is sweet with another heart and stitches and the word more- it makes me Smile.

I am adding this to Word Art Wednesday- Anything goes; Loves rubber stamps- Anything goes; Opus Gluie- All tied up and  CAS on Sunday- one layer wonder.

I made this for MFT sketch 182.

I used the MFT blueprints, stamp- blue skies and rolled daisy with royal leaves. The daisy was sprayed with fireworks sprays and stained with walnut stain. the main panel was stamped with raindrops(MFT) and then stamped with the sentiment. I used abstract art( i love that stamp) on the white strip. Added a button to finish the card. I used MFT inks- banana split, razzle berry, sno cone.

Here is the inside- I just bought this stencil, love it- it says With all of my heart.

MFTWSC181/ happy birthday

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I used MFT sketch 181 for this birthday card. The card is for someone who likes purple, so I used pink and purple as my combo and love how it looks together.

I started with a 4.25 x 5.5 card but later changed to 4×5.5. I used MFT blueprint 3 and 13 for my panels/ the first rectangle was cut and then stamped with Hero Arts friend stamp with spun sugar Distress INk(DI). I then cut a postage stamp die and added MFT-MPD delicate doily stencils with seedless preserves, to create the lighter shade dots I rubbed off some ink on scrap paper and then continued the stencilling. I did not follow the pattern of the stencil but moved it around to suit my paper. I cut the circle panel and embossed it with purple black embossing powder. The sentiment is from MFT birthday greetings. the border behind is from notched tag border in this sweet gingham paper I had in my stash. I cut a few rolled roses, colored them wiht seedless preserves and pickled raspberry DI, peeled paint and evergreen DI for the Rose leaves and Martha Stewart punched leaves. As a last touch I added stardust stickles. The card still looked incomplete so I added twine and sequins at the bottom. Perfect!

Here is a close up of the embossing and flowers. They look gorgeous IRL.

here is the inside, I love the look of All the Movies sentiments.

I am also entering this card in Loves Rubber Stamps- Spots and dots; Word Art Wednesday- Anything goes; Wow Emossing powder- Gardens and 613 Avenue- Anything goes-add pink.

MFt blueprint 15/ Thank you cards

, , , , , , , , , , ,

Here are 8 cards, the first four are a set I gave my daughter’s teacher as a gift( a request from my daughter) and the last 4 are cards my son gave to his teachers from him.

I used MFT blueprint 15 for all of them. I used mostly papers from my scrap bin and some pattern papers.

Here are the first four and I did their insides as they were a gift.

This also has a watercolor panel that I have had for some time, it seemed to go with this. Do you see the double stitched circle, Oh! I love it.

Matching inside

I messed up on the first one so i added the leaf panel, my daughter watned me to leave the mess as she thought it looked 3d but i did not, now thinking back, maybe i should have, but still it’s cool. I love the dark blue and purple, I added a rolled daisy to it. I love the heart size, it is just perfect.

Matching inside

Now here are the next set, there is no insides as my son wrote on the inside.

I added a rolled rose, all the thank you are from different MFT sets.

The brown card was for a male teacher and I love the brown and orange combo.

I am entering these in Loves Rubber Stamp- CAS and simple, now I do not know if this is counted as CAS but to me they are as it is just die cuts and not much details, thought I love it. Blueprints are so cool to work with especially when you have only two hours to do 8 cards.

Word art wednesday- anything goes and Southern Girls challenge- diecuts.

sweet Sunday sketch 222/ happy for you

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Today is a dear friend’s b’day and I wanted a special card for her. I used Sweet Sunday sketch 222.

This card took some time but I loved how it came out. I used MFT blueprint 15, i love this set. I used it for the main panel and for the yellow strip. I cut a circle with circle stax and then sponged a scene with distress inks, sweet n’sassy stamps and used MFT inks too. I cut a lily, colored it with copics and then added a rad after dry embossing it. I added some pearls, tons of glossy accents to the lily. Lots of lquid pearls, yes, i did go a little extra crazy, it started with having to cover a black spot caused after stamping the sentiment and then went on. I love this sentiment stamp. I added stickles to the birds, there rae the tiny ones from Technique Tuesday.

here is the inside, I forgot and took the picture later and that is why you see some writing in there.

Butterflies are her favorite and so this works. I added liquid pearls to the border. I am adding it to Word Art Wednesday- anything goes: Addicted to stamps- Outdoor and Just add ink- I used the cool combo of green, yellow and pink.

Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.

MFTWSC179/ i’m here if you need me

, , , , , , , , , , , ,

I used MFT sketch 179.

i made this card in three attempts. I knew I wanted to use distress inks, so I started with the circle embossed the MFT concentric circle and the added distress ink, I added the sentiment and where things were embossed it created a gray and black effect, so I tossed it. The second time I stamped the sentiment added the flowers with different distress inks and it looked cool, I added a water brush look with pumice stone, did not like it and tossed it. And then I realized I was always doing it with the sentiment while that could stay outside the panel. It all came together quick.

for this one I used wild honey, squeezed lemonade and spun sugar. The flowers I used the same arrangement I had done the second time but this time with versatile black. Love how this came out. Especially I love the MFT MPD distressed background in fired brick. I love how it stands out with the wild honey.

Of course, after all that I thought there should be some green But then after adding three swirls did not like it so came the flower and the layered buttons to the rescue. I have to say after a long time in making the card, but love the look of it. I added hemp cord for the panel and as an accent to the buttons. I added stickles as the final touch.

i am also adding it to Word Art Wednesday- anything goes
